Spain La Coruna Seeks for Lottery Winner

Quite strange but memorable thing happened in Spanish city of La-Coruna. The owner of one of the local stores posted the classified. He announced that he was looking for a person who lost $6,3 Millions lottery ticket. The man found the lottery ticket but does not want to take the money. He tries to find rightful owner of the lottery ticket.

Manuel Reya Gonzalez told that the ticket was issued in 2025^th. When Gonzalez found out about huge winning he went to local authorities. Gonzalez told, “I didn’t have any doubts, I didn’t think even for a second of taking the money. I would not be able to sleep understanding that I took money of somebody else. I just put myself into shoes of the gambler who lost his ticket. Therefore I understood that the best thing to do is to try finding the real winner”.

According to local newspaper La Voz the ticket was bought in Galicia. Senior Gonzalez reckons that the gambler occasionally dropped his jackpot-winning ticket. The owner of the store recalled the situation, “I was not able to believe it. I ran to check numbers and then I realized that somebody won millions of dollars. I was shocked”.

It should be mention that Gonzalez will receive the jackpot if nobody claims the ticket during the next 2 years. Meanwhile there were 6 locals already trying to get the ticket. However none of them was able to prove his ownership.

The La Coruna major Carlos Negreira praised senior Gonzalez, “This is the first time when we look for a millionaire to give him money instead of asking about money. Manuel Reya Gonzalez did the right thing. He found something that doesn’t belong to him and tried to return it to the rightful owner. He is the excellent example for our citizens who believe in justice”.
