Woman Who Won $1 Million Jackpot is Suing Casino

The gambler from Lincoln City who won $1 Million last year suing her casino. The management of the casino refuses paying the prize. Beverley Mackey told that she hit her jackpot in Chinook Winds participating in Swipe Play & Win promotion. The woman explained that she was extremely happy with the win because he had heart surgery and was fighting diabetes, “I am dreaming about getting my money and don’t depend on disabled pensions anymore”.

After the several weeks of her lucky day Beverley was shocked by the casino’s management. She was told that she was not going to get her $1 Million. The reason of it was that the promotion was organized by Reno-based Odds on Promotions. However the company made the mistake coding the algorithm of the jackpot awarding system. Therefore the woman was not supposed to get the biggest prize. She just won one of the cheapest souvenirs. In the result the casino decided to pay her $50 000 as the compensation.

Anyway the woman was not satisfied with the decision. She hired a lawyer and decided suing the casino. Her lawyer told, “I think we have quite good chances of success”. He also told that the woman hopes to get her jackpot and additional $20 000 for mental distress.

Meanwhile Chinook Winds managers try to get compensation from Odds on Promotion. They insist that the company must pay $70 000 penalty. Owners of the casino are extremely disappointed with the cooperation. Marketing director of Chinook Winds told that he will never deal with the company again.

The lawsuit will last at least 6 months. If Mackey wins she would get annual installments during 20 years. She will be receiving $50 000 every year.
