Trevor Pope Won $553k Triumphing at WSOP Event 2

Las Vegas is hosting the most important poker event of the year. The World Series of Poker is going to be hot. Best players from the whole world come to Las Vegas to battle for enormously attractive prize pools. Meanwhile Trevor Pope won WSOP Event 2 – NL Hold’em 8-max tournament with $5000 buy-in.

Trevor Pope is young and talented poker player. He started final table play having almost half of remaining chips. Therefore he managed to knock out almost everyone. His opponents didn’t have a single chance of winning the precious WSOP bracelet. 26-year-old Pope beat prize pool consisting of 481 players. They generated $2,2 m prize pool. 56 players reached in the money stage. The min prize was $8432. 

Trevor Pope told, “I knew all final table players except David Vamplew who played against me heads-up. Darryl Fish is one of my best friends. We were even renting apartments together. Thus I really enjoyed the tournament. Darryl is a wonderful person. Dan Kelly is also nice guy. I feared him most. Therefore I was glad when he got knocked out. By the way I consider him one of the best 5 tournament players in the world”
