Mega-Win! Jackpot of $487 000 000 hit at Powerball!

Breaking news! We finally we have a winner of the American Powerball lottery who hit the jackpot of $487 million. The ticket was purchased on April 30, 2025 in Raymond, NH. 

The winning combination of five numbers out of 69 turned to be: 11, 17, 21, 23, 32. Mass media reported that this jackpot is one of the ten most significant wins taking the 8^th position. The largest packet was won at the beginning of 2025 and was estimated at $1,6 billion. Talking about the same Powerball lottery that takes place in 44 American states as well as Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands, this will be the 5^th large jackpot throughout its history. It should be noted that the chance for winning is not that large – 1 of 292 million which just proves unprecedented luck that simply fell down on our lucky fellow who preferred to stay anonymous. 

The lottery rules specify that if the winner wishes to take the whole sum of money all at once, he will get $330.56 million, because the only way to receive the total sum of money is by dividing it into equal parts and throughout 26 years. The winner’s attorneys commented answering the question how their client tends to spend the money:  

“The largest part of this sum of money will be spent on charity – I have never had so much money before, and I would like to make the lives of other people who are in need or are disabled, a little easier. I think that my duty is to share my happiness with those who are deprived of it. May my win help others and not spoil me”.
