The lucky Irish won € 7.9 million
The happy winner of the Irish National Lottery knows how to turn 12.5 euros into 7.9 million euros. Last Saturday, a resident of the city of Wexford bought in the Londis supermarket a lottery ticket for 12.5 euros. And a few hours later she hit an incredibly high jackpot. Thus extremely expensive lottery ticket brought its owner almost eight million euros.
For now, (for obvious reasons) the lucky wished to remain anonymous. Still the owner of the lottery kiosk, where the miracle-ticket was purchased, had an interview with national media. His name is Mike Hanarahan, and he talks about his ambiguous impressions and that he is personally acquainted with the winner:
"I know this nice woman very well and now she turned to be incredibly fortunate as well. She cannot believe such a wonderful surprise as well as I could not believe my ears when, in late Saturday evening the manager of the national lottery phoned me and informed that the winning ticket with fabulous jackpot was purchased in my stall. In truth, at first I took his words as a bad joke".
The so-called sense of "absolute happiness" embraced the lucky woman as well, when the owner of the lottery kiosk called her to tell the good news. "This lovely lady took my words for drawing, and noted that she had not even verified her ticket numbers. When I asked her to check them out, the lady exploded with sincere laughter and was so much thanking me for the wonderful news and excellent service, that she even made me a little embarrassed, "- commented Mr. Hanarahan.
The owner of the lottery shop also said that during the more than five years of his experience in gambling business he never had such winnings. This case was the first major win for the tickets sold out of his hands.
When Mr. Mike Hanarahana was asked how he was able to identify the winner so quickly, he confidently answered: "You can hardly find a person who buys lottery tickets at 12.5 euros."
